This privacy policy describes the rules under which we process information about you, including personal data and cookies.

The Operator is the Controller of your personal data in respect of data provided voluntarily on the Website.

The Website uses personal data for the following purposes:

  • Running a newsletter
  • Running a comment system
  • Running online chat conversations
  • Handling enquiries submitted through the form
  • Preparing, packing and dispatching goods
  • Delivering the services ordered
  • Debt collection
  • Presenting offers or information

The Website obtains information about users and their behaviour in the following ways:

  • Through data entered voluntarily in forms, which are then entered into the Operator’s systems.
  • By saving cookie files on end devices.

2. Selected data protection methods used by the Operator

  • Login pages and pages where personal data are entered are protected at the transmission layer (SSL certificate). As a result, personal data and login details entered on the site are encrypted on the user’s computer and can only be read on the target server.
  • Personal data stored in the database are encrypted in such a way that only the Operator, who holds the key, can read them. This protects the data in the event that the database is stolen from the server.
  • User passwords are stored in hashed form. The hashing function works one way – it cannot be reversed, which is the current standard for storing user passwords.
  • The Operator periodically changes its administrative passwords.
  • An important element of data protection is the regular updating of all software used by the Operator to process personal data, which in particular means regular updates of software components.

3. Hosting

The Website is hosted (technically maintained) on the servers of the operator: cyberFolks.pl

In order to ensure technical reliability, the hosting company keeps logs at server level. The following may be recorded:

  • resources identified by URL (addresses of requested resources – pages, files),
  • the time the request arrived,
  • the time the response was sent,
  • the name of the client station – identification carried out via the HTTP protocol,
  • information about errors that occurred during the HTTP transaction,
  • the URL of the page previously visited by the user (referrer link) – where the user reached the Website via a link,
  • information about the user’s browser,
  • information about the IP address,
  • diagnostic information relating to the self-service ordering of services through registrars on the site,
  • information relating to the handling of e-mail sent to and from the Operator.

4. Your rights and additional information about how data are used

In certain situations the Controller has the right to transfer your personal data to other recipients where this is necessary to perform the contract concluded with you or to fulfil the Controller’s obligations. This applies to the following groups of recipients:

  • the hosting company, on an entrustment basis
  • postal operators
  • insurers
  • law firms and debt collectors
  • banks
  • payment operators
  • public authorities
  • operators of online chat solutions
  • authorised employees and associates who use the data in order to fulfil the purpose of the site
  • companies providing marketing services for the Controller

Your personal data are processed by the Controller for no longer than is necessary to carry out the related activities set out in separate regulations (e.g. on accounting). As regards marketing data, the data will not be processed for longer than 3 years.

You have the right to request from the Controller:

  • access to personal data concerning you,
  • their rectification,
  • their erasure,
  • restriction of processing,
  • and data portability.

You have the right to object, within the scope of processing indicated in point 3.2, to the processing of personal data for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller, including profiling, provided that the right to object may not be exercised where there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, in particular the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

You may lodge a complaint about the Controller’s actions with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland.

Providing personal data is voluntary but necessary for the operation of the Website.

Automated decision-making, including profiling, may be applied to you for the purpose of providing services under the concluded contract and for the purpose of direct marketing by the Controller.

Personal data are transferred to third countries within the meaning of data protection legislation. This means that we send them outside the territory of the European Union.

5. Information in forms

  • The Website collects information provided voluntarily by the user, including personal data, in so far as such data are provided.
  • The Website may record information about connection parameters (time stamp, IP address).
  • In some cases the Website may record information that makes it easier to link the data in a form with the e-mail address of the user completing the form. In such a case the user’s e-mail address appears inside the URL of the page containing the form.
  • Data provided in a form are processed for the purpose arising from the function of the particular form, e.g. to handle a service request or a commercial contact, to register services, etc. In each case the context and description of the form clearly indicate what it is used for.

6. Controller’s logs

Information about user behaviour on the website may be logged. These data are used to administer the website.

7. Key marketing techniques

The Operator uses statistical analysis of site traffic through Google Analytics (Google Inc., based in the USA). The Operator does not pass personal data to the provider of this service, only anonymised information. The service is based on the use of cookies on the user’s end device. As regards information about user preferences collected by the Google advertising network, the user may view and edit information derived from cookies using the tool: https://www.google.com/ads/preferences/

The Operator uses remarketing techniques that allow advertising messages to be matched to the user’s behaviour on the site, which may give the impression that the user’s personal data are used to track them; in practice, however, no personal data are passed from the Operator to the advertising operators. The technological requirement for such activities is that cookie support is enabled.

The Operator uses the Facebook pixel. This technology means that Facebook (Facebook Inc., based in the USA) knows that a person registered with it is using the Website. In this case Facebook relies on data for which it is itself the controller; the Operator does not pass any additional personal data of its own to Facebook. The service is based on the use of cookies on the user’s end device.

The Operator uses a solution that studies user behaviour by creating heat maps and recording behaviour on the site. This information is anonymised before being sent to the service provider, so that the provider does not know which natural person it concerns. In particular, entered passwords and other personal data are not recorded.

The Operator uses a solution that automates the operation of the Website in relation to users, e.g. one that can send an e-mail to a user after they visit a particular subpage, provided that the user has consented to receiving commercial correspondence from the Operator.

8. Information about cookies

The Website uses cookies.

Cookies are IT data, in particular text files, which are stored on the end device of the Website User and are intended for use with the Website’s pages. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the time they are stored on the end device and a unique number.

The entity that places cookies on the end device of the Website User and accesses them is the Website operator.

Cookies are used for the following purposes:

  • maintaining the session of the Website user (after logging in), thanks to which the user does not have to re-enter their login and password on every subpage of the Website;
  • achieving the purposes set out above in the section „Key marketing techniques”;

The Website uses two basic types of cookies: „session” cookies and „persistent” cookies. „Session” cookies are temporary files stored on the User’s end device until they log out, leave the website or close the software (web browser). „Persistent” cookies are stored on the User’s end device for the time specified in the cookie parameters or until they are deleted by the User.

A web browser makes it possible to delete cookies. It is also possible to block cookies automatically.
